Two men were shot dead in the early hours of this Wednesday (25) in the Alto da Bondade neighborhood , in Olinda, in the Metropolitan Region of Recife. The crime took place around 2 am, on Travessa Mário Juruna Qui.

The victims were 24 and 28 years old . One of the men was executed inside his home; the other, on the street. The area is known for conflicts linked to drug trafficking. The Civil Police of Pernambuco (PCPE) is investigating the case, but the motive is still unknown.


This is the second double homicide recorded in Olinda in two days . In the early hours of Tuesday (24), a couple was shot dead in the Sapucaia neighborhood.


The victims, Anderson da Silva Lopes , 25, and Maria Eduarda de Souza Albino , just 16, were on a motorcycle when they were attacked by an armed man who approached on a bicycle. They had apparently left a June festival center in the city.

Anderson was hit by seven shots , including in the head, chest and back, and died instantly. Maria Eduarda was taken to the UPA in Tabajara, but did not survive her injuries.

The Civil Police states that the investigations will continue until both cases are clarified .
