A new massacre has been reported in the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. The death toll is at least seven and three injured.
At 10:30 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, an armed attack was reported at a bar located on Los Anturios Avenue, in the Nuevo Amanecer cooperative in the Santa Rosa neighborhood.
In the images posted on social media, it can be seen that the bodies were left in different parts of the area.
According to preliminary investigations, individuals disguised as soldiers arrived at the scene in a vehicle and proceeded to shoot at the pool hall attendees. Seven people died and three others were injured.
This isn't the first time such incidents have been reported in Santo Domingo. In the early hours of Sunday, August 17, another massacre occurred at a pool hall in this province, leaving seven people dead.
