A three-year-old child named Jannat, who was seriously injured after falling from a four-story building in the Ramganj municipal area on Tuesday, has died.
The child passed away early this morning (Wednesday) while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the Angarpara area of Ramganj. Jannat fell through a gap in the staircase of the four-story building and was critically injured.
The deceased child's father, Delwar Hossain, is a fish trader by profession. The family lived as tenants on the top floor of the building.
According to police and local sources, Jannat was playing on Tuesday afternoon when she fell from the fourth floor. After being seriously injured, she was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ramganj Police Station, Md. Abdul Bari, confirmed the incident and stated that police have been dispatched to the scene.
